"Euphoria" Returns on 7 December With Two Special Episodes on Binge in Australia

The wait is over!

One of 2019’s most talked about shows, Euphoria, is making its way back to our screens in 2020 for two extra special episodes, just in time for Christmas.

(Zendaya’s reaction to her Emmy win is me rn.)

BINGE is hosting the two extra standalone episodes to Aussie viewers from Monday 7 December, fast tracked straight from the US.

Zendaya spilled the beans on Twitter this morning, leaving fans elated to say the least.

The new episodes come straight out of nowhere, especially considering the second season isn’t due for production until 2021. We’re shocked, but excited!

Zendaya had previously teased the idea of an extra episode during a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! But none of us thought 2020 would be that good to us.

"We're trying to figure out how to eventually be able to create a season 2 that we're all really proud of and get all the best out of it that we want but also still being very safe," she said.

"So, we might end up doing a little bridge episode.

"I don't really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in a safer environment that can, I don't know, give people something."

If you've missed it, the confronting series that surrounds a group of high school students figuring out their identities and experiencing the ups and downs of love, friendship, sex, trauma, social media and drugs, has been one of the most controversial and popular teen dramas for a long while.

Binge Executive Director Alison Hurbert-Burns said "Euphoria is one of the biggest hits of the year and has established a huge cult following here in Australia."

"It’s consistently one of the most popular titles on Binge.

"Brought to life with exceptional performances, including from Emmy-award winner Zendaya, Euphoria is compelling viewing and we can’t wait to provide fans with these special episodes before what’s set to be a captivating Season 2."

Of course, Zendaya is returning for both episodes after winning the 2020 Emmy award for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in the first season.

Zendaya also filmed Malcom and Marie dring iso back in July so we're not sure how she managed to fit in two more episodes of euphoria.

If you haven’t seen it yet, best go back and watch it on Foxtel Now or Binge. You can get all the deets on season one here.
