Woohoo: “Sex Education” Has Officially Been Renewed for Season 4

*Phew*

Get keen you Netflix bingers ‘cos Sex Education has officially been renewed for its fourth season.

Considering the cliffhangers they just left us on at the end of Season 3, it’s no huge surprise but I’m still breathing a massive sigh of relief.

The cheeky buggers at Netflix confirmed the news on Sunday with a casual post to Twitter, featuring a ‘Moordale News’ clip.

What can we expect from Season 4?

Okay, so if you haven’t yet gone and binge-watched all of Season 3 (or legit the whole show again from font to back) you’re gonna wanna do that now ‘cos we’re about to touch on those cliffhangers I mentioned before.

*Spoilers for Season 3 ahead*

Considering the Moordale peeps are in their final year of high school, the show can only go on for so much longer, so it wouldn’t exactly be a far reach to guess that Season 4 might be the last season for Sex Ed.

Despite this, there’s a whole bunch of questions that need to be answered when our favourite characters return.

Firstly, Maeve just popping off to the US is a biggie. While it’s unlikely that she’ll be removed from the plotline altogether, she may have a hard time keeping contact with the rest of the gang and keeping up with her will-they-won’t-they love interest, Otis.

Man, three seasons in and we’re still waiting. Something just has to happen in Season 4 or I may die.

Then of course, we now know that there are some issues with the paternity test for Jean’s new baby Joy (or at least that’s what it looks like), so Season 4 will have to explore what’s going to happen with her and Jakob’s relationship, and what the new sibling duo Ola and Otis have got going on.

The most devastating thing to come out of Season 3 was obviously Adam and Eric’s break up (the fandom is still mad), so will we see them re-spark their romance in Season 4? Or will something blossom between Adam and Rahim? These are the kind of questions I need answering ASAP.

Finally, with Moordale High—or Sparkside Academy as it was to be re-named—set to close, where will the Sex Ed gang go to finish up their high school experience? Will they be separated for good? Or will they finally redeem the school’s reputation?

With all of these things yet to happen, I can’t wait for the next season. However, given previous release dates for the show, we might be waiting until at least 2023 (cry).

You can catch all the current episodes of Sex Education on Netflix now. Go on, you know you want to watch it again.
