Disney's "The Lion King" Trailer Will Melt Your Frozen Heart

Even the Scars of the world will shed a happy tear over the new The Lion King trailer.

Disney's upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King has just released its first teaser trailer and oh boy, is it a real treat.

The remake will follow the original 1994 animation's storyline, which, in case you somehow forgot, follows the journey of a young lion, Simba, who after the passing of his father, King Mufasa, runs away from his pride and later returns as an adult.

Donald Glover is cast as the voice of adult Simba while Beyoncé will voice Nala, his best friend and love interest.

It's not the first time Disney will breathe a second life into one of their classics.

In fact, Aladdin, Dumbo, The Lady and the Tramp and The Little Mermaid are all getting their own live-action treatment in the coming years.

But, the reason The Lion King feels different is because it's basically the biggest Disney movie of them all. Even those few Disney haters out there have definitely seen it—and secretly enjoy it.

And this remake looks to follow in that vein with the trailer promising it's going to be a complete snack.

Exhibit A: Here's the animal kingdom arriving for the unveiling of baby Simba.

Here's baby Simba looking a little bit awkward at his animal kingdom debut.

Then, there's big boi Simba roaring at Pride Rock.

If your household didn't come to complete silence when that Lion King promo came on........
