Get a Load of Your New Simba, Timon and Pumbaa Recording "The Lion King"

This is just a great group hang.

Though the "live-action" adaptation of The Lion King won’t actually replace animals with humans, we’d be fine if Jon Favreau’s upcoming flick literally just featured Donald Glover, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen reading dialogue to one another and singing “Hakuna Matata” in their civilian clothing.

Director Favreau today uploaded a pic of that trio—your new Simba, Timon and Pumbaa, respectively—in the studio, presumably sharing their problem-free philosophy in song-form.

Either that, or Favreau, Rogen and Eichner are featuring on the next Childish Gambino album. We are fine with that too!

We eagerly await a photo of new Nala, Beyoncé, joining them for "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?".

The Lion King arrives in cinemas July 2019.
