Tim Burton’s "Dumbo" Trailer Has the Internet Scream-Crying

Disney, what have you wrought?
When it was announced that oddball Tim Burton would direct a live-action remake of Dumbo for Disney, most shrugged it off, imagining something similar to his Alice in Wonderland movies.
(Meaning: something they could mostly ignore.)
But the teaser trailer for the project has arrived today, and ignore it, the internet cannot.
Featuring a haunting cover of "Baby Mine" (from the original 1941 animation) and some tragic shots of the adorable big-eared elephant in circus captivity, it has effectively turned all of social media into a communal session of primal scream therapy.
They are not taking it well at all.
"Maybe I'll watch the new #Dumbo trailer. Maybe now that I'm in my late 30s I'll be able to handle it."

*Hits play. Baby Mine starts playing*
*HITS PAUSE* "Nope. nope. No effing way. No no no no."
Honestly I’m not going to watch the new dumbo movie. Not even the trailer. I’m a grown up I can’t be crying in public like that

Others felt... differently.
Is Dumbo a horror movie

Disney’s #Dumbo has always been creepy.

Even its name is creepy.
Not to mention the scene in which the little elephant gets drunk with his friend, an adult rat of dubious intentions.
It is well fit for a Tim Burton movie. pic.twitter.com/Sh6H0hGTWB
Dumbo arrives in Australian cinemas 28 March 2019, so start preparing yourself emotionally now.
