“Cyberpunk 2077” Has Some Major Issues on Last-Gen Consoles PS4 & Xbox One

The developers have apologised and offered refunds.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most highly anticipated games of 2020, so when some players ended up with a bunch of issues on the new game, it was disappointing to say the least.

After years of development delays and massive updates, we all hoped that the game would be worth all the trouble, but last-gen console players have run into numerous problems.
Essentially gamers who were trying to play Cyberpunk 2077 on their PS4 or Xbox One consoles found that the game had a heap of bugs, crashes, blurriness and temporary pauses in action that made the game look, uh, not exactly as advertised.
Since all of the issues were revealed on social media, Cyberpubk 2077’s developer CD Projekt Red apologised with a statement on Twitter and announced that they would be offering updates and refunds as soon as possible.
In the statement they also made it clear that they didn’t show enough of the game on their last-gen before it was released, so that players could make a more informed decision about their purchase.
"First of all, we would like to apologise to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PS4 and Xbox One," they said in the statement.
So, because of the faults, CD Projekt Red are getting straight onto a number of updates that will improve the overall experience of the game.
The first update is due to go live in the next seven days, then the next with two large patches will be ready to go from 1 January next year, and another in February.
While they have stated that these new patches will fix the overall experience of the game, they won’t make the game that is played on PS4 and Xbox One look the way it does on high-spec PC or the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
So, it’ll be better... just not as good.
If this is something that has kind of bummed you out, you can always just get your money back. Thankfully CD Projekt Red are offering all customers refunds for digital and physical copies of the game.
"For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN/Xbox respectively. For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game," they said.
"Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you.
"Starting today, you can contact us for a week up until December 21st, 2020."

In an unexpected move, gaming and tech retailers JB Hi-Fi and EB Games are also offering customers refunds above and beyond their seven day return policy.
Providing that all components of the product are returned, you can get your money back on the game, including collectors editions with DLC.
Normally, both retailers are really strict about gaming refunds and collectors editions usually can’t be returned. However, EB Games has decided to be generous with this one considering CD Projekt Red’s response.
While it was expected that the new game would need some ironing out after release (as most games do), some customers are truly fed up with waiting and have already started returning the game to retailers.
