She's also unveiled an animated music video.

We are spending more time at home than ever before, and many artists have taken that as an opportunity to create new music. Back in May, Charli XCX recorded her album How I'm Feeling Now, and last week Taylor Swift dropped her new record folklore.

Now, Billie Eilish has returned with a single written during quarantine called "my future". So, if you've been feeling desperate for some new content from the Grammy-winning singer, you're in luck.

The track follows Billie's "No Time to Die", the title song for the upcoming James Bond film.

If you haven't heard the tune yet, check out the animated music video which was created by Australian artist Andrew Onorato.

Surprisingly, "my future" isn't as dark or moody as Billie's other songs. While fans expected it to be more on the sombre side, the tune is actually one of Billie's most uplifting tracks.

It starts off soothing and wistful, accompanied by Billie's jazzy vocals, but by a minute and 45 seconds, a percussive beat kicks in that changes the sound dramatically.

This shift is also represented in the music video, with the sun shining down and brightening up the visuals.

It's safe to say fans are ecstatic about the track, with many of them pointing out how shocked they were by the unexpected beat change.

It's not clear whether "my future" will feature on the follow-up album to When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Although, her brother, producer and co-writer FINNEAS has told Vulture that the pair have started working on the new record, so it's definitely a possibility.

Hopefully the new album is finished sooner rather than later though, because as Billie says...
