All the Free PlayStation Plus Games Available This April

This one’s for the zombie fans.

April is an awesome month for PlayStation Plus members with Sony announcing some zombie-fied gaming goodness available for free.

The games on offer to PS Plus subscribers are Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Days Gone and Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5 only).

Let’s take a quick look into what each free game for this month offers, which are all playable starting from 6 April. 

Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Set in 1946, Adolf Hitler and his undead army have risen from the pits of hell to usher in the era of Armageddon. Thankfully, a team of zombie slayers are ready to take the fight to zombie Hitler and his acolytes across 1940s Europe.

In this third-person shooter, players can select from one of four survivors to take on the army of the dead in a meaty campaign through various levels and a range of enemies.

Outside of the campaign there is the Horde mode that allows players to take on wave after wave of zombies. What’s not to love?

Zombie Army 4 can be played on your own but was designed to be played co-operatively with your friends. (Tbh, that’s how we'd recommend you play it too.)

So, squad up and go kill some zombies.

Days Gone

The next piece of zombie gaming up for free in PS Plus’s April gift is Days Gone.

This survival horror game is set in post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after a virus has caused a majority of humans to become uncontrollably violent.

Assuming the role of Deacon, an outlaw-turned-drifter, the player travels across the open world on their motorbike in search of his thought-to-be-dead wife, Sarah.

Through shooting, sneaking, and bashing heads with make-shift weapons, you’ll love this free roam, bounty hunting adventure that makes you feel like Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead.

Oddworld: Soulstorm

This is the only non-zombie game available for free this month on PS Plus, but is arguably more ridiculous than the zombie genre.

Newly released on the 6 April, Oddworld: Soulstorm is the sequel to 2014’s Oddworld: New n’ Tasty.

Set on the fictitious planet of Oddworld, gamers will take charge of Abe, a friendly alien, as he starts an uprising against the oppressive Glukkons to free his enslaved people, the Mudokons.

You following? Me neither.

This side-scrolling cinematic video game is a must-play for gamers who love a strong storyline and puzzle solving.

Reviews aren’t out yet, but if the last game is anything to go by, then Oddworld: Soulstorm will be a home run.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is only available for free download on PlayStation 5.
