A New Trailer for Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” Is Here and the Internet Is Ready

It debuted on Fortnite.

Not a whole lot is known about Christopher Nolan's upcoming film Tenet. The first trailer for the flick landed in December 2019, and it was enigmatic to say the least.

Now, a new trailer has arrived after debuting on Fortnite on Thursday night. While it does offer a few more clues about the plot and characters, we're still not entirely sure what on earth is going on.

Watch it for yourself, and see if you can figure out what it's all about.

If you just finished watching that and you're feeling confused, you're not the only one.

Tenet is Nolan's first film since 2017's Dunkirk, and stars Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clemence Poesy, Himesh Patel, Denzil Smith, Martin Donovan and Sean Avery.

The new trailer uses some of the same footage as the first one from December, adding in a lot more action. We can also gather that Washington and Pattinson's characters are working together on a mission.

From the looks of the trailer, it seems as if the characters will be trying to prevent World War III by using time-bending abilities.

Additionally, it gives off major Inception vibes, which is interesting because the title, Tenet, is defined as "a principle or belief, especially one of the main principles of a religion or philosophy." It's also a palindrome, which means it reads the same backwards as forwards.

This definitely suggests we can expect the film to defy the laws of physics.

Even though most fans don't quite know what's happening in the mysterious trailer, they're excited anyway.

People have also been quick to point out the similarity between Pattinson's character and Nolan.

Tenet is set to land in Aussie cinemas on 16 July. However, with the coronavirus pandemic forcing cinemas to shut, there's a chance it could be postponed.

We'll be sure to keep you updated.

Update (22/07): Yep, it's been pushed back with no release date confirmed.
