A Kanye West Documentary Spanning Over Two Decades Is Coming to Netflix

It's Ye's world and we're just living in it.

Get ready to deep dive into the world of Kanye West 'cos a docuseries about the artist is coming to Netflix (you'll want to mentally prepare yourself for this one).

As reported by Billboard, the multi-part documentary features never-before-seen home videos and other rare footage of Ye.

Here's the real tea: it'll cover 21 years of his life. (That's longer than Boyhood, people.)

The untitled series will apparently cover his career in music and fashion, his failed 2020 presidential bid, and the death of Kanye's mother, Donda West.

It's helmed by music video producing duo Clarence "Coodie" Simmons and Chike Ozah, who directed and produced the singer's 2004 music video "Jesus Walks (Version 3)" and "Through the Wire".

As per Billboard, the project sold to Netflix for $US30 million. Although, a source told Variety that the reported figure may not be accurate.

At this stage, not a whole lot else is known about the docuseries. However, it's set to land during 2021 so we'll probably learn a bit more soon.

It's safe to say fans are pretty pumped about the project.

Last month, Kanye took home his first gospel Grammy for his album Jesus Is King.

We're also patiently impatiently waiting for his forthcoming 10th album DONDA, which was first teased in March 2020. It was slated for a July 2020 release but that, uh, didn't happen.

Look, if his past album releases are anything to go by, we're going to be waiting for a while longer (the docuseries will probably arrive first).
