Where Were You When Fifth Harmony Basically Broke Up?

The inevitable has finally come to pass.

Like every boy and girl group before them, Fifth Harmony has gone on indefinite hiatus to allow its members to "pursue solo endeavours".

Basically: They’ve broken up.

The writing was on the wall: Standout Camila Cabello exited more than a year ago (following some failed group therapy), and has since become one of the biggest solo artists in the world. (She’s also comfortable dressing like a fruit roll-up in her music videos, which is a true sign of success.)

Other members like Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei have had already dipped their toes in external waters. (Lauren even made our Top 10 Songs of 2017 for her Halsey collaboration "Strangers").

Like fellow hiatus-having One Directioners Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis, each Harmoniser will no doubt be fine on their lonesome—even if they’ll never match the heights of their own personal Zayn: Camila.

But for some fans—especially the heartbroken Sam Smith—an era has come to an end.
