Not Even Group Therapy Could Keep Camila In Fifth Harmony

Have you not yet fully claimed your pound of flesh, 2016?!
With just eleven days to go in the year, 2016 has taken one final (we pray) victim: Fifth Harmony.
The “Work From Home” team has been splintered with the shock announcement that Camila Cabello—aka the one everyone tipped to be the eventual breakout—would leave the manufactured girl group.
In case you’re not sure which one Camila is—reasonable—here is a candid shot of her, doing some casual reading.
The news of her exit was broken via Fifth Harmony’s official Instagram account, with just a hint of shade, if you were looking for it (and we always are).
“After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,” it began.
“We wish her well,” it followed, less convincingly.
But then, Camila released a statement of her own, saying her fellow bandmates knew she was leaving (and that they weren’t informed “via her representatives”).
“I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing," she wrote.
"The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was 'leaving the group' is simply not true.”
She attempted to finish on a positive note.
"As sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group, I wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world and true happiness."

According to Billboard, the split was a long time in the making, with talks among the dissenting group members having “broken down some time ago” despite the attempts of an “intervention-like sit-down”. A group therapist was also hired to mend the rifts, but Camila apparently "never showed up to the meetings."
(Never forget that Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei was assumed to be feuding with Camila, after she only described her as “cute” and “quirky” after raving about fellow bandmates.)
The question is, as Camila now embarks on her solo venture, will she be a Zayn Malik, or a JC Chasez? And can Fifth Harmony (Fourth Harmony?) survive without her?
Depends if they puts in work (work, work, work, work, work, work).
