“You” Season 3 Finally Has a Release Date and October Can't Come Sooner

Is this the most murderous baby reveal you’ve seen?

Netflix has casually dropped the release date for You Season 3 in its first trailer that makes a major announcement in the most delicious way possible (that’ll make sense once you watch the trailer).

The new season is all about creepy stalker Joe Goldberg’s (Penn Badgley) new life in the ‘burbs with his equally messed up partner Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) and how they will be welcoming a baby boy into the world.

Oh, sorry. I should have mentioned there will be spoilers in this article so if you haven’t already watched the first two seasons of You, we suggest stopping what you’re doing right now and binging it.

Trust us, you won’t regret it.

The teaser for Season 3 features Joe speaking—in that creepy voice of his—over footage of someone (we're guessing it's Love) making a tasty white cake to celebrate the arrival of their baby.

“A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of mini-me was purely exciting and not without challenges,” Joe says.

“Let’s just say, I hope you’ll do as I say, not as I do, but for you, I could change. I’ll be a man you look up to, a man you will be proud to call dad.”

Calling it now. Joe is not going to stop stalking and killing people. He loves it too much.

After musing about what name he should call his new son, Joe settles on ‘Henry’ just as the viewer is served up a big slice of cake with the numbers ’10, 15, 21’ baked into the sponge.

That’s right. After almost two years without knowing if the show will ever get a Season 3, we finally have confirmation that the third season will drop on 15 October this year.

Aside from knowing that the loved up couple (if we can call them that) are having a boy called Henry, details about the third season are scarce.

Officially, Netflix has revealed the new season will revolve around Joe and Love raising their child in the Californian suburbs surrounded by, “privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgemental mummy bloggers, and some Insta-famous biohackers” according to the synopsis.

Joe then begins to fall back into his obsessive ways with the next-door neighbour as his new prized desire, Love will do anything to keep her perfect family unit from being torn apart (big yikes).

Can we all agree that means the neighbour ain’t going to survive the season? Prove me wrong, Netflix.

Side note: Does anyone else feel like eating cake right now or is that just me?

You Season 3 drops on Netflix in Australia on 15 October this year.
