Prepare For Creepiness: Netflix Has Renewed "You" for a Third Season

Hello, you.

The Netflix show that has everyone wrestling with whether it's socially acceptable to root for a deranged psychopath is officially back for a third season, with the streaming service confirming Penn Badgley will reprise his role as the very unstable Joe Goldberg.

You knew this would happen though, didn't you?

Season 3 will consist of 10 new episodes, with co-creators Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti returning as executive producers. Gamble will also serve as showrunner. Additionally, Victoria Pedretti will definitely play Love Quinn in the upcoming season, which is set to premiere in 2021.

*Season 2 spoilers below.*

If you haven't finished watching Season 2, and you've somehow miraculously managed to avoid spoilers, we're about to reveal what happens in the S2 finale. This is your official warning.

Season 2 left us with the shocking revelation that Love is equally as psychotic as Joe. And while Joe was, uh, disappointed by the news, he couldn't do too much about it, because Love is pregnant with his child.

So, he stays in a relationship with Love, and the two move to the suburbs. In the last scene, we see Joe staring at his neighbour through the fence, and returning to his old scary ways.

Some people predicted that the neighbour might be his mother. However, Badgley shut that down pretty quickly.

At this stage, no plot details for Season 3 have been released, but we can expect to see more of Joe and Love's relationship, and how having a baby will change their dynamic. We also predict that Joe will become entangled with his new neighbour, and that his story with Ellie (Jenna Ortega) is far from over.

Undoubtedly, nothing will be able to prepare us for the madness to come.

Kind of like nothing could prepare us for this romantic exchange.

You is currently streaming globally on Netflix.
