Everything We Know About "You" Season Four So Far

Everything We Know About "You" Season Four So Far

Wait, Cardi B was almost set to make an appearance? What?

Netflix has been dropping a few hints lately as to what we can expect from the next season of You and we are getting nervously excited.

Even though season three only dropped in October last year, it feels like it's been forever and we're ready to consume all the creepy, murderous stalking in store for Joe Goldberg.

And yo, if you haven't finished season three, firstly what have you been doing? And secondly, there are obviously spoilers ahead.

So, what do we know so far?

There's definitely a season four, right?

Oh yeah! The You writers posted back in November that they were back in action and it was revealed on March 23 that production had started.

Although season three finished up in Paris, the show is currently being filmed in London because apparently "it's cheaper". Penn Badgley literally said that to Entertainment Tonight, we're cackling.

There's no trailer yet, but Netflix must know we're all patiently waiting for one. This is all the teasing we've had so far.

Pedestrian predicts a release at the end of 2022, or even beginning of 2023, by the time they count for the time needed to film and edit—which would be great bingeing content for our summer holidays!

What will it be about?

So season three ended with Joe leaving Madre Linda to search for Marienne in Paris. He's on the move and we're stressed.

As for what happens in season four though, well, we don't know much.

You showrunner Sera Gamble told Variety "the whole You team is excited to explore new, dark facets of love in season four". Intriguing...

She also told E! News baby Goldberg won't be forgotten about.

“I think it will shape him from this moment forward. And even his exact plan of when and if he would return for his son is something that we will … come together and talk about for hours and hours and hours between snacks," she said.

Do we know who's in season four?

Netflix has given us a bit of insight into who will return (and which fresh faces might be on the chopping blocks) next season.

Hopefully these ones don't get murdered like literally every other character we've come to know and love so far.

We know Joe (played by Penn Badgley) is still around obviously, and we also know Marienne (played by Tati Gabrielle) is returning because she's been spotted filming in London with the crew. We also know Love Quinn definitely will not be returning. Sad.

Adam (played by Lukas Gage) is one of the newbies, described as a “warm, funny, and hard-partying son of a wealthy family".

Lady Phoebe (played by Tilly Keeper) is Gage's GF and apparently a "chaotic” celebrity.

“An aristocratic socialite with an avid fan base, Phoebe’s true colours show when she’s alone with her friends,” Deadline reports.

Then there's "irreverent" Rhys (played by Ed Speelers) who was born into poverty, lived an early traumatic life and then came into money, attended Oxford and made all the right friends (including Lady Phoebe and Adam).

And finally, Nadia (played by Amy Leigh Hickman) who's “outspokenness and intensity are the perfect cover for the insecurities carried by a young woman who’s never been accepted by her peer group" according to Deadline.

We just hope they all make it through season four alive, honestly.

As for Cardi B (yes, you read that right), she tweeted to Netflix that she'd like to be in season four and apparently they actually tried to make it happen.

Penn Badgley said it unfortunately fell through, but we think that's a missed opportunity—petition for this to actually happen plz.

It's enough to get us excited, that's for sure. Watch this space.
