What’s Cuter: Baby Yoda or Porgs? Daisy Ridley Knows the Correct Answer

Porgs: It’s what’s for dinner.

Daisy Ridley just hopped on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote her upcoming appearance in the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, a momentous conclusion to a decades-spanning nine-film saga.

And of course, all he really wanted to know was her opinion on Baby Yoda.

The uber-adorable infant was unveiled in the first episode of The Mandalorian on Disney+, and since then, despite not having been officially named, "Baby Yoda" has become the only thing anyone has cared about on the internet. There was even a brief scandal when it seemed Disney had taken down all Baby Yoda GIFs. Turns out, Giphy just had a technical error. Still, the people were concerned!

Fallon asked Ridley to settle a debate that has raged for approximately 10 days: What’s cuter, Baby Yoda or The Last Jedi’s apparently delicious Porgs.

For Ridley, the choice was clear: Baby Yoda.

However, her decision may have less to do with cuteness and more to do with professional jealousy.

"Look, I’m not a big fan of the Porgs,” she admitted, adding that they were all anyone asked her about during press for The Last Jedi. That changes here, I suppose. Now all anyone will ask about is Baby Yoda.
