Timothée Chalamet Vs. Ansel Elgort: Who Was More Popular in High School?

The battle of the century.

First, there was Troy vs. Sparta. Then there was Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman. Now, in 2018, we bring to you: Ansel Elgort vs. Timothée Chalamet. 

In the world's most humble battle, Ansel (Baby Driver) and Timothée (Call Me By Your Name), who attended the same performing arts high school in New York City, both told a MTV host that the other was the most popular in school.

Understandably, people found this exchange quite amusing.

Most importantly, there was mention of a calendar with an Ansel for every month. He tweeted to clarify that this was for the student council to raise funds and not his own vanity (though I'm sure there was a bit of that too).

Hold up! I did not make the calendar myself! The calendar and shoot was organized by student council! To raise money! I’d pay 💰 to see a Timmy calendar tho 😏

It seems like some high school rivalries do follow you out of the playground and into the real world.
