Welcome to TikTok of the Week, where we highlight our favourite original TikTok video from the past seven days (and give out some honourable mentions as well).

If this is the first time you’ve come across one of these articles (we apologise), basically every week we break down a few hilarious or shocking vids to give you some quality internet content because we honestly can’t get enough of TikTok.

Anyway, here are the videos that had us rolling this week.

This week’s winner is…

On Tuesday, TikTok user @mohhhhsin posted a golden video of himself listing some of the strangest dog names that he found on petfinder.com, an American rescue pet website.

And honestly, these names are it; I am deceased.

With names like ‘Someday’, ‘Ruth Bader Ginsburg’ and ‘Tree Trunks’, I’m concerned (and glad) about what is going on inside the heads of some pet owners.

What makes this video just *chef's kiss* isn’t just the names, it’s @mohhhhsin’s delivery of the puppers’ titles and the casual bopping of his head disappearing and then reappearing in front of the dodgy TikTok green screen.

Aaaand now I need to apologise to my neighbours for laughing like a goose at 3am.

What’s even better is that @mohhhhsin quickly followed up the first video with a sequel, and in my opinion, this one’s even better.

‘LEAF’, ‘Bully’, ‘Ding-Ding’ and ‘Isosceles’ are a couple personal faves of mine but the list just goes on. Seriously how are there that many weird dog names out there?

Videos of Gen Z reacting to hilarious dog names is technically a trend, and at the time of writing this article @mohhhhsin’s is the most popular video under the #petfinder hashtag.

This first video takes us back to our first ever TikTok of the Week, in which we have a classic example of a pronunciation misunderstandiung. 

TikTok user @spencerderthick posted a clip of him absolutely losing it because he thought the TikTok sound “I just want to be appreciated” was actually “I just want to be a freeze-dried egg.”
