Thor and "Friend from Work" Hulk Playfight in the Ultra Colourful "Thor: Ragnarok" Trailer

Chris Hemsworth’s not the only one with a new look.

According to the teaser for Thor: Ragnarok, it looks like the franchise is getting a make-over. And it seems that its Pinterest board is made up of photos from Guardians of the Galaxy for inspiration.

With Led Zeppelin’s rollicking “Immigrant Song” on the soundtrack, and both Jeff Goldblum and Cate Blanchett decked out in striking, alien outfits, it’s hard not to see the similarities between Marvel’s two extra-terrestrial properties.

Thankfully, New Zealand director Taika Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) isn’t the kind to merely play copycat, and the new trailer certainly has plenty of his unique comic flourishes.

Take Thor’s excited response to seeing the Hulk in a gladiatorial ring: “He’s a friend from work!”

Anyway, this looks like too much fun. We just hope Thor’s Aussie roommate Darryl makes an appearance.

Thor: Ragnarok arrives in cinemas October 26.
