This You? An Aussie Hero Is the 12th Biggest Netflix ‘Binge-Racer’ on the Planet

Not all heroes wear capes, and, according to a new Netflix press release, they don’t even need to wear pants.

This year alone, one unnamed Aussie champion has ‘binge-raced’ through 13 seasons of Netflix shows on their respective launch days, making them the 12th biggest ‘binge-racer’ in the world.

As Netflix points out, 8.4 million Netflix members have ‘binge-raced’ (which means ‘finished an entire season within 24 hours of its release') at one point or another.

But only one among us can proudly claim the title of biggest ‘binge-racer’ in the country. Whoever you are, wherever you are: We believe in you. In 2018, we know you can become #1 in the world. Sure, that may mean cancelling all your Friday plans for 52-straight weeks, but dammit, greatness comes at a price.

The ACT was named the biggest ‘binge-racing’ state or territory (per capita), followed by Queensland, Tasmania, Other AU, South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia and New South Wales. (Oh, too good to 'binge-race' are we, Sydney?)

Here are the top 20 shows ‘binge-raced’ by Aussie Netflix members:

1. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
2. Marvel's The Defenders
3. Santa Clarita Diet
4. The Seven Deadly Sins
5. The Ranch
6. Fuller House
7. Atypical
8. White Gold
9. Friends from College
10. F is for Family
11. Stranger Things
12. Grace and Frankie
13. Orange Is the New Black
14. GLOW
15. Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later
16. Frontier
17. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
18. You Me Her
19. Chewing Gum
20. Anne with an E

If you’re surprised Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was the most ‘binge-raced’, remember: It was just a four-episode event series, compared to Orange Is the New Black and Stranger Things, whose last seasons ran for about 10 – 14 hours a piece. Now that takes commitment.

Anyway, prepare to add another 'binge-raced' record to your PB next Friday, when Stranger Things S2 drops.
