The Most Unhinged Moments from the Gwyneth Paltrow Trial

ICYMI – Gwyneth Paltrow was in court over a skiing incident that occurred in 2016. The actress allegedly crashed into a 76-year-old man, Terry Sanderson.

Sanderson was suing her for $300,000USD for ‘physical and emotional wounds’, but last week the jury decided that Paltrow was cleared of any wrongdoing.

The trial was live-streamed, and the internet was absolutely frothing over the drama as both parties claimed that they were crashed into.

And of course, in flooded the memes.

Rather than summarise some of the juiciest moments from the trial, we’re gonna let the memes do most of the talking.

‘Well, I lost half a day of skiing.’

Perhaps the most iconic line of the trial from Gwyneth Paltrow comes from when she’s asked how she was affected by the ski crash, her response was simply, ‘well… I lost half a day of skiing.’

Sanderson’s attorney gushes over Paltrow.

Kristin Vanorman – Sanderson’s attorney – asked quite a few… unusual questions to Gwyneth Paltrow, including asking about her height and her ski outfit.

When Paltrow described how tall she was, Vanorman replies, ‘I am so jealous’.

Sanderson’s attorney also brings up T-Swift.

Gwyenth Paltrow countersued for $1USD as she says that ‘it’s symbolic because the damages would actually be more’.

Check out the vid below where the attorney attempts to make a connection between the countersue and Taylor Swift, implying the pop star had given her the idea from her countersue.

Sanderson allegedly referred to Paltrow as King Kong and Godzilla.

Gwyenth Paltrow’s attorney brought up that Sanderson had described Paltrow was ‘screaming like King Kong in the jungle’ in a 2019 press conference.
