Find out TikTok’s number one trending song, and amazing news for women in the NRL.

This week has been an absolute treat featuring the return of an absolute music icon, a new addition to the Marvel universe, and more that come with – of course – some amazing memes.

Let’s get into it.

Trending in Music: Rihanna Returns at the Superbowl.

It had been seven years since Rihanna had performed solo until she rocked the stage at the Superbowl this week, but she’s been one busy gal.

Rihanna has become an ultimate boss-lady with two booming businesses under her belt, with Forbes crowning her a billionaire in 2021.

The red fit was an absolute vibe, but the memes that came out of the back-up dancers have been absolutely spectacular.

Trending in Gaming: PlayStation VR 2 Reviews.

PlayStation are releasing their new VR headset – the PSVR 2 – next Wednesday, and the reviews are glowing. So, what’s new with this one?

Some of the many new features in the latest PlayStation VR include 4K HDR display and eye-tracking, and the new controllers have finger touch detection, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers (they also look pretty sick).

One of the downsides that reviewers have seemed to have agreed on is how eye-watering the price-tag is - $879.95. That’s more than a new PS5 console.

Yikes.

Trending in Sport: NRL Women Players Are Receiving a Pay Rise.

The NRL recently reported that the average wage for the 2022 season for is $37,500. But thanks to a collective bargaining agreement (CBA), the wage is set to rise to $63,250 by 2027.

In a media release this week, the Rugby League Players Association CEO Clint Newton said, “agreeing to these financial terms will now give NRLW players financial certainty and security ahead of signing contracts for the 2023 NRWL season and beyond.” You can get a deeper look at these upcoming changes in the media release here.

We love to see it.

Trending on TikTok: Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2 Song.

Currently sitting at the number one spot on the TikTok Viral chart is the catchy tune Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2.

The track has taken off on TikTok and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 14, and the staff at Billboard aren’t surprised.

“PinkPantheress and Ice Sprice teamed up at the perfect point in their careers, where they both had enough buzz for the collaboration to take off”, explains Rania Anfiftos.

The original Boy’s a Liar track came out end of last year, but this remix has hit all the right notes.

I’m going to be humming this all weekend, I can feel it.
