The "Love, Victor" Trailer Is Here and It Looks Very Different to "Love, Simon"

Prepare to cry.
When Love, Simon landed in cinemas in 2018, people everywhere fell in love with its sensitive and warm approach to exploring sexuality.
A particularly wholesome part of the film was the support Simon received from his family and friends when he came out as gay. They helped Simon accept himself by reiterating that his sexuality does not define him.
Unfortunately, that is still not the reality for some gay teens. So, what would happen if you didn't have such an accepting family?
Well, it looks like spin-off show Love, Victor is going to try and answer that.
Check out the trailer for yourself.
From the looks of the trailer, the show is going to be just as heartfelt as the movie. It also seems to maintain the same earnest tone as the flick.
Except, Victor is going to have to navigate some different issues this time around.
The series follows Victor (Michael Cimino) who is a new student at Creekwood High School. He's on his own journey of self-discovery, and he's undoubtedly feeling confused about his sexuality.
Victor is trying to figure out who he is while adjusting to a new city, facing challenges at home, and exploring his sexual orientation.
When it all gets too overwhelming, he reaches out to Simon (Nick Robinson) to help him face the challenges in his life.

The cast also includes Ana Ortiz, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira and Mateo Fernandez. Robinson is back to serve as the narrator of the series, and executive producer.
Love, Simon writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger have returned to produce the series.
The show was originally developed for Disney+, however, it was moved to Hulu after Disney+ decided it wasn't "family-friendly" enough for the streaming service, due to "alcohol use and themes of sexual exploration".
Love, Victor is set to premiere on Hulu on 19 June, and will consist of 10 episodes.
At this stage, it's unclear how Aussies will be able to watch the series. We've reached out to Stan for confirmation, considering they usually stream Hulu's content.
We'll be sure to keep you updated.
Until then, try to contain your excitement.
I actually screamed.
