The Grammy Noms Are In and They're Surprisingly Diverse

It's Grammy nominations season and the noms are a'plenty.
The nominations were announced last night, and they've already caused quite the stir.
Firstly, Beyoncé's husband, Jay-Z, is in the lead for the most amount of nominations, and fans are definitely split on whether he deserves it for 4:44.
He's in the running for eight categories, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

In second place for nominations is Kendrick Lamar, who we hear is remaining as humble as ever (yes, I'll see myself out).
He's nabbed himself seven nods for DAMN. including Album of the Year and Best Rap Song.
Refreshingly, the AOTY category is extremely diverse as far as awards shows go, and has no white males for the first time in 19 years.
Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee scored themselves a few nominations for "Despacito" in the mostly-English speaking categories of Song of the Year and Record of the Year despite being predominantly sung in Spanish.
And of course, there were the snubs.
#GRAMMYs got cancelled when they didn’t nominate 1d and now they’re going to be cancelled forever after not nominating Harry Styles.

Ed Sheeran got snubbed at the Grammys so music journalists wouldn't have to copy-paste the 'divide' symbol for the next two months 🙏

The Grammys will be held on January 28 (U.S. time) but still no word yet on where Australian viewers can get their fix besides Twitter.
