The Four "Avatar" Sequels Have Titles So Bad, They Sound Fake

The Four "Avatar" Sequels Have Titles So Bad, They Sound Fake

Strap yourselves in for four questionably-titled Avatar sequels.

If you were around in 2009 (let's assume you were), you might remember a movie about blue aliens on a lush planet taking over popular culture for about a minute. That movie was, of course, Avatar and while it smashed box office records and is still the number-one grossing movie of all time, its impact 10 years later is pretty minimal.

Despite all this, they've decided to dredge up the Avatar shipwreck and churn out four more movies in the hopes of recreating the buzz of the first.

Director James Cameron has already been working on the first two of these four movies and their titles have finally been revealed to much confusion.

The problem is, if the source for this news wasn't the BBC, a reputable news outlet, nobody would believe it because they're so laughable.

First up, we have the first two sequels that are scheduled for release in 2020 and 2021.

According to the BBC, those movies are titled Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar: The Seed Bearer, respectively.

The first title isn't the worst option as Cameron did say he wanted to explore the water worlds of Pandora so, yeah, that makes sense. The Seed Bearer, though?

The final two movies, which will apparently get the green light based on the popularity of Avatar 2 and 3, are called Avatar: The Tulkun Rider and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.

Anyway, I'll just leave this savage Tweet right here.
