“The Crown” Season 4 Will Arrive on Netflix Australia in November

Get ready to see Emma Corrin as Lady Diana Spencer.

If you have been debating who will make the best Princess Diana out of Emma Corrin, Kristen Stewart or Elizabeth Debicki with your mates, you have probably been patiently impatiently waiting for Netflix to confirm the release date for Season 4 of The Crown. 

Well, you're in luck. Earlier today, the streaming platform revealed that the upcoming season will land on Netflix globally on 15 November.

We know it's still a few months away, but at least it's something to look forward to, right?

Along with confirmation of the release date, Netflix also dropped a 30-second teaser trailer for Season 4. 

While it's only a short clip, it gives us a whole lot to get excited about. Throughout the video, we see shots of Gillian Anderson as the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Margaret Thatcher. 

Although, fans are even more keen to see Corrin as Lady Diana Spencer. The end of the teaser shows Diana in her wedding dress as she's due to marry Prince Charles (Josh O'Connor). 

From the looks of the sneak peek, S4 is shaping up to be one of The Crown's most iconic seasons yet.

Season 4 picks up as the 1970s are drawing to a close, and will document Queen Elizabeth's (Olivia Colman) concerns about safeguarding the royal succession. It'll also focus on Thatcher's rise as Prime Minister and her divisive policies, along with the early years of the relationship between Prince Charles and Diana.

You'll also need to emotionally prepare to wave goodbye to Colman as Queen Elizabeth as well, because this will be the current cast's final turn as the royal family.

Next season, Harry Potter actress Imelda Staunton will take over as Queen Elizabeth. Additionally, Debicki will play Diana in the last two seasons. 

The show will end with Season 6, which will take the series into the early 2000s.
