Terry Crews Will Sue His Alleged Hollywood Assaulter

TMZ is reporting that Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, Terry Crews, will sue his alleged sexual assaulter, Hollywood agent Adam Venit, who has since returned to work after a one-month unpaid suspension.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit outlines that Venit was staring at Crews "like a rabid dog, sticking his tongue in and out of his mouth provocatively" when the assault occurred. Crews then allegedly pushed Venit away and directed nearby Adam Sandler to take him away: "Adam, come get your boy! He's grabbing my nuts." 

Adam Sandler called Crews after the event to see if he was okay and expressed shock at Venit's actions.

Crews first made the allegations public during the height of the Harvey Weinstein allegations, when he felt compelled to speak out about his experiences. While he didn't name Venit initially, he later revealed his identity on Good Morning America as the head of the Motion Picture Group at William Morris Endeavor (WME), one of the biggest talent agencies in the world.

Crews claims that after he revealed his identity, the editor of the National Enquirer, Dylan Howard, threatened to run a smear story about him.

Howard has since been accused of sexual misconduct himself.

Crews has been extremely vocal about ensuring his alleged assaulter and his protectors are being held accountable for their alleged actions. He has demanded Venit be reprimanded more seriously than the single month suspension he has received.

Crews' allegations are just one of many against many powerful men in the Hollywood industry since the initial Weinstein allegations were revealed.

It has made 2017 stand out as a year in which perpetrators are finally starting to be held accountable for their actions.
