Terry Crews Wants Terry’s Bald Egghead to Beat the Instagram Egg’s World Record

The only thing Terry loves more than yoghurt is your Insta likes.

Yesterday, the internet did as the internet does and moved in unison to like a picture of an egg on Instagram.

With 36 million likes (as of this writing), the picture posted by an account named simply world_record_egg become the most liked on the social media platform. It blitzed the record of the previous title-holder, actual person Kylie Jenner, whose post of baby Stormi from February 2018 held the title for a year with a now miniscule-seeming 18 million likes.

Jenner took her dethroning in stride, posting a clip of herself frying an egg on the road.

Take that little egg

But look out, because here comes Terry Crews, the most beloved human being alive (not named Dwayne Johnson) who wants to crack (ahem) the egg’s record with a picture of his own egghead. (Technically, he's just asking for the pic to become his own most liked post, but c'mon, do you really think Terry's looking to become runner up to an egg?)

At the time of publication, Terry has notched close to 300,000 likes in just three hours.

If he can pull this off, it’ll cap a great week in the life of Terry Crews. His briefly-deceased TV show Brooklyn Nine-Nine returned to TV screens last Friday, earning its best ratings in America for two years. It also pulled in some decent numbers in Australia, where it continues to air on SBS Viceland, despite having recently moved from Fox to NBC in the States.

You can stream the first five seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Netflix and keep up with new eps from Season 6 on SBS on Demand.
