Netflix to Herald the Return of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" in Australia with Synchronised Nationwide "CoolCoolCool"

Australians, heed your new anthem.

Your beloved B99 bebes survived cancellation largely due to the unwavering support of its fans on social media.

Now, Netflix wants to harness that fandom for an even greater good: making everyone in Australia say "coolcoolcool" at exactly the same time on Friday 28 September.

As readers have hopefully already noted in their calendars, that’s the date the fifth season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine lands on Netflix, having previously aired on SBS and been made available via SBS On Demand (where it has since expired).

To celebrate, Netflix has created an event for 12pm AEST, asking you to spend one full minute saying "coolcoolcool".

"Do it for Jake Peralta, because he would do it for you," they add. And you know what? They're right.

You can record a video of yourself doing it and share it with the NetflixANZ Facebook, Instagram or Twitter accounts, to be part of an epic "coolcoolcool" supercut.

They’re also promising "a special something" to those with the best videos.

You have one week to practice your delivery and prepare yourself emotionally.

SBS previously confirmed to Student Edge that it will be bringing back brand new episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine very soon, with Season 6 set to premiere in early 2019 on SBS Viceland and SBS On Demand.
