Sydney Dude Arrested After Ordering 200 Hash Browns at McDonald’s

Okay, there’s a little more to it than that.

A 30-year-old Epping man was arrested by police and charged with drink driving after allegedly acting disorderly in a McDonald’s drive-through and placing an inhuman order of hash browns.

Accoridng to the Hornsby Advocate, the incident took place at 4.50am on Saturday at the Thornleigh Maccas in northern Sydney.

The driver reportedly became upset with staff when he discovered chicken nuggets weren’t available at that time of the morning. He took a second lap round the drive-through, and proceeded to order 200 hash browns, which would have cost him $440. (Honestly, there are worse ways to spend half a grand.)

He continued lapping the drive-through two more times, but alas, the hash browns never came. Instead, police were called. He registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.175 and had his licence suspended.

We’re hoping someone sits this dude down and delivers some hard truths about safe driving, proper treatment of fast food staff, and responsible pre-dawn breakfast consumption.
