Macca's Are Releasing Four 'Rare' Nuggie Dipping Sauces in Australia and You Won't Wanna Miss 'Em

The wait is finally over.

If you go to sleep at night dreaming of dipping your Macca's nuggets in something other than plain ketchup or the usual Sweet 'n' Sour sauce (maybe that's just us), today's your lucky day.

The famous fast food chain has announced they're gifting Aussies with not just one, but four new dip flavours to satisfy the cravings of nugget-lovers all around the country.

It's all part of Sauces in July—an apparently "super limited" promotion from 6-19 July—and we already know the first two flavours set to hit the market.

The first is the "rare" Szechuan Sauce, which was originally released around the world back in 1998 to promote the film, Mulan (there's a fun fact we bet you didn't know). But it never saw the light of day in Aus. 

It's described as an aromatic and rich blend of soy sauce, ginger, garlic and seasme oil, according to news.com.au.

The second is the Cajun Sauce that sold out back in 2020 when it featured as part of a collab with the now-broken-up boy band, BTS. Cue the tears.

It's a creamy, sweet, tangy mix of Dijon mustard, honey, vinegar and secret spices that sounds freakin' delightful.

“We know how much Macca’s fans love our Chicken McNuggets and sauces and we can’t wait to release a limited stock of some our highly requested sauces like Szechuan and Cajun sauces,” McDonald’s Marketing Director, Tim Kenward, said.

But he was careful not to spill anything about the final two limited-edition condiments we still don't know yet.

And, as if this news wasn't exciting enough, Macca's has also launched a Sauce Quest for superfans who want to get their hands on the rare dips early.

Over three days, you can embark on a digital scavenger hunt solving clues to uncover hidden sauces.  Find 10 sauces and you could be in with a chance to claim your very own supply before they make it to the menu.
