"Stranger Things" S3 Has Already Been Finished by 18 Million Households

Umm, this writer hasn’t started yet, so no spoilers please.

The third season of Stranger Things dropped on Netflix last Thursday, but we don’t need to tell you that, because apparently 40.7 million households across the world have already started watching it.

That’s the figure being shared by Netflix’s US Twitter account, becoming the rare bit of 'ratings' information released by the streaming behemoth (funny how they only ever reveal good ratings).

Season 3 of Stranger Things has apparently been seen by more viewers in its first four days than "any other film or series" on Netflix.

And, in a statistic that feels like a personal attack on this writer (who is yet to even start S3), more than 18 million households have already finished watching the entire season. All eight hours of it.

My deepest hope among hopes is that all eight hours is just this scene, extended.

We would share a bunch of reaction tweets to the season, or posit some theories for S4, but, as mentioned above, I am not among those 40.7 million viewers who has anything to contribute.

But if traffic to our website over the weekend is any indication, it seems like Dart the Demo-Dog plays a significant role this year.
