Sony Is Celebrating Pride 2021 With a Curated LGBTQIA+ Games List and Free Theme

Play with Pride.

Sony have gone all out to show their support for the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride 2021 by releasing a curated list of over 50 games that put the spotlight on LGBTQIA+ characters, themes and experiences.

The list is pretty comprehensive with some fantastic titles for gamers looking not only have some fun but also to experience the world in someone else’s shoes.

Some of our personal favourites are The Last of Us: Part II, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mass Effect, Life is Strange, The Outer Worlds, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Check out the full list here.

In the PlayStation Store, you'll see the featured collection spotlighting all these games so you can easily access them and show your support.

To keep the Pride vibes going, Sony also made a PlayStation Pride Playlist on Spotify to bop to while you’re gaming with a mix of some amazing LGBTQIA+ music and artists.

Top marks to Sony for putting “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen right at the top. That beat slaps.

Along with this, Sony is encouraging gamers to “Show your Pride,” with the company creating a PlayStation Pride 2021 wallpaper theme for the PS4. The theme is free to download and is all kinds of colourful featuring LGBTQIA+ symbols splashed over a rainbow controller.

The Pride theme 2021 wallpaper is available now to download, but you won’t be able to find it in the store. The theme is available through a redemption code only based on region.

Here are the codes below:

• Americas: GBX2-ELNK-R5KE
• Europe: XQF7-9JN4-3NQM
• Japan: CKDB-GDN3-637B
• Korea: PDJR-T6NH-B49Q
• Other Asian countries and regions: DQM5-2LNC-T6KL

To redeem, just head to the PlayStation Store, scroll down to ‘Redeem Codes’ and then punch in your relevant region code. Unfortunately, none of the codes work for Australia (trust me, I tried) which sucks but hopefully PlayStation will add one soon.

If you want to check out all the ways Sony and PlayStation are supporting the LGBTQIA+ community you can check it all out here.
