Some Upset "Star Wars" Fans Are Very Serious About Remaking "The Last Jedi"

This group reckons they can remake The Last Jedi the way it was supposed to be.
While most of us probably enjoyed the latest installment in the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi (TLJ), there was a huge backlash deep in the fanbase.
There are a number of reasons behind the criticism given that TLJ was a departure from the previous films. It was hated by fans for its treatment of Luke Skywalker (who "gives up"), for its progressivism, its sense of humour, and its apparent dismissal of fan theories (no, Rey is probably not a secret Skywalker).
The nerd fan rage got so intense that Kelly Marie Tran (who plays Rose in TLJ) had to shut down her social media sites because of all the abuse.
But now, one fan (or, perhaps a group?) has taken the supposed issues with TLJ so seriously, they've begun a crowdfunding campaign to remake the film.
While they haven't really outlined in detail how this remake will be different, the clear point is that Rian Johnson, TLJ's director, will not be involved. In fact, the Twitter account has made their disdain for him very obvious and blames him for TLJ's supposed failures.
But some of us, like Seth Rogen, are a bit confused as to how they intend to remake a huge movie, without Disney's approval.
Others are just in it for the guaranteed chuckles.
Ok, how about this, they pay for a The Last Jedi remake, and it's exactly the same but all the actors have to make their own laser and lightsaber noises.

I've been thinking about this more, and I would actually support a Last Jedi remake where everything was exactly the same, except all the characters were explicitly bisexual.

Feel compelled to start a twitter account called "The Last Jedi was fine. Relax."

Constructive suggestion: 10-minute finger-snapping jazz breakdown in the scene with the infinite Reys.
