RIP: Snapchat Just Updated and the Fam Aren't Happy

Rest in peace Snapchat, 2011 - 2018.
It's looking to be 2018's first major casualty because Snapchat has hammered the nails into their own coffin with their latest update.
While I wholeheartedly believe that people usually get over the drama of drastic updates within a few days, this latest update might finally be enough to push people into the arms of their major competitor: Instagram.
Version 10.23.10.0, otherwise known as The Last Snapchat Update Before It Was Cancelled, changes the entire layout we've come to love so much.
For starters, the page where all your Stories used to be (a.k.a. Stalk City. Population: You) now only contains celebrity stories, ads and news.

To find your friends' stories, you now have to head to your inbox and tap on the circle where their avatar should be, similar to what the Instagram and Facebook stories look like.
This means that stories aren't going to appear in alphabetical order but, instead, based on when you last Snapchatted them. Or maybe you can view them like the old version but it's hard to really know anything anymore because the layout is SO. DAMN. CONFUSING.
Don't think it's that bad? You're probably alone in thinking that because Twitter's version of an angry mob with pitchforks and torches has formed.

So is there any way to fix the problem? Some people are offering solutions, which others have claimed works, but they're only temporary at best.
If you want to go back to the original Snapchat. Download x-VPN, open it and turn it on. Then go on to snap, send a photo. Then refresh the Snapchat app. Then you can turn off the VPN.

Retweet to save a life! #snapchat #snapchatupdate
Let's just hope Snapchat reads all the salty feedback and reconsiders some of these changes ASAP.
