Cya Snapchat: Instagram Might Be Introducing a New Portrait Mode to Stories

Instagram's portrait mode might make everyone a professional photographer.
A TechCrunch reader has found a hidden mode on Instagram's app that might mean we'll be getting a new 'Portrait' mode soon.
If Instagram's hidden 'Portrait' mode is anything like a "portrait" mode on a DSLR (or the latest iPhones), it will give your photos a shallow depth of field, which will blur background objects and just have your face in focus.
Basically, it's gonna up your selfie game, and make it look real, like no Snapchat filter can.

So, is it likely to happen? According to TechCrunch, the last time they found a "hidden" feature on Instagram, it was the GIF-sharing feature and that was launched a week later.
It doesn't necessarily mean that Instagram will definitely release the feature they should, but it's looking like it may find its way into our grateful, little hands.
We can only wait and see if they come through with it to change our selfie games forever.
