Ser Davos Liberated the Deleted Starbucks Cup from “Game of Thrones”

"That was tricky to get."

Your beloved Onion Knight has delivered.

Though his Game of Thrones character, Ser Davos Seaworth, couldn’t save young Shireen (too soon?), actor Liam Cunningham did manage to salvage the rogue Starbucks cup that was deleted from the show after it somehow snuck on-screen.

Okay, it’s not the exact cup that was featured in the most recent GOT ep, "The Last of the Starks". In fact, that cup wasn’t even from Starbucks, though it still managed to give the coffee-slingers approximately $US2.3 billion in free advertising.

Nonetheless, Cunningham popped up on Conan O’Brien’s late night show to gift him with this suddenly invaluable replica of the fabled prop (which has since been scrubbed from the episode following the hilarious backlash).

In defending the anachronistic latte’s surprise appearance in the show’s big Winterfell banquet, Cunningham joked, "It wasn’t that pivotal a scene."

As for an explanation, he threw his queen under the bus, saying, "Emilia [Clarke] probably drinks too much coffee."

We can imagine her reaction.
