Scalpers Are Getting Stung on Harry Styles’ Australian Tour

It’s a sign of the times.
If we learnt anything from Adele’s recent Australian tour, it’s that she’s wheeled on stage within a box.
But if we learnt two things from Adele’s recent Australian tour, it’s that efforts to stop scalpers from reselling tickets at a premium can be defied.
Though Adele’s promotors warned that tickets re-sold at a higher price on Viagogo and eBay may not be accepted at the gig, some second-hand tix were still snapped up for more than $AUD1,000.
Harry Styles, embarking on his first solo trip to Australia, is taking a different approach to ensure only his most legitimate of fans can score tickets to his Sydney and Melbourne shows.
According to The Music, Frontier Touring is limiting ticket purchases to two per transaction.
The next bit is where it gets interesting: Physical tickets for the Sydney show will not be issued until October. They’ll include the buyer’s name, printed right on the ticket.
No physical tickets will be issued for Melbourne. However, the person who purchased the tickets will have to “check-in” on show day to present their ID and have their name marked off the “purchase list”. If approved, they will then receive non-transferrable accreditation for entry.
In a statement, Frontier Touring says, “any ticket holder not able to provide the required purchase and identification documents will be denied entry to the venue.” Tickets alone are not enough to get through the gates.
Any customers who are found to have purchased more than two tickets, or try to scalp their tickets at a higher price, may have their tickets cancelled.

Keep that in mind when tickets go on sale this Friday, May 5, right here.
Harry will play the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Sunday, November 26. He’ll be at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on Thursday, November 30.
Oh, and his debut album goes on sale May 12.
In the meantime...
