It Has Arrived: Listen to Harry Styles’ Solo Single “Sign of the Times” Literally Now

After an arduous 12-day wait, we have finally been gifted with Harry Styles’ first solo single.

As promised, “Sign of the Times” takes its influence from David Bowie and Queen, and doesn’t seem to tread on former bandmate Zayn Malik’s pop territory.

(And good, because Zayn has it covered, alright?)

Nor is it a cover of the Prince song (almost) of the same name, “Sign o’ the Times”. So, linger on that missed opportunity when you listen to Harry’s melancholy, ‘70s-influenced anthem.

The proper music video for “Sign of the Times” will drop later this month, and next weekend, Harry will make his solo debut on Saturday Night Live, performing this and another tune from his upcoming solo album.

Just two weeks ago we had written off Styles' chances as a solo star in Zayn’s shadow.
