"Rick and Morty" Are Stuck Inside a Super Bowl Pringles Commercial

"I'm Pringle Rick!"

For the past couple of years, Pringles has been featuring their flavour stacking combos in their Super Bowl commercials. In 2018, Bill Hader showcased the concept, and last year a sad Alexa-like device dreamt of being able to taste the crunchy chips.

This year, however, Pringles has taken things to an entirely different dimension by starring Adult Swim's Rick and Morty.

Naturally, the whole thing feels more like a condensed episode than an ad.

Check it out for yourself.

It all starts off with Rick and Summer harmlessly watching a Pringles commercial on the television, with Morty enthusiastically suggesting they try out the flavour stacking combos. But this is Rick and Morty we're talking about, so things aren't exactly what they seem.

Suddenly, Rick realises that they're actually trapped inside a Pringles commercial, and Morty is a Pringles robot.

"They must've taken us in our sleep," Rick says to Summer, before ripping the wallpaper to reveal the Pringles logo.

The commercial finishes up with a bunch of Morty robots charging into the room to attack.

Basically, only Rick and Morty could make a commercial so satirical, and genuinely hilarious.

As well as the advertisement, Pringles has also reiterated that "Pickle Rick" Pringles will be available in stores in early February.

The new flavour was announced late last year, inspired by Episode 3 of the award-winning series' third season. The episode saw Rick transform into a pickle to avoid attending a family therapy session, taking an adventure through the sewer to a foreign government agency.

There's been no word as to whether Pringles will drop them in Australia. But based on the show's popularity, we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Understandably, many fans are taking the ad as an opportunity to question where the rest of Season 4 is, considering only five episodes have been released.

At the moment, it looks like we'll just have to keep patiently impatiently waiting.
