PSA: Taylor Swift Just Dropped a Snippet of Her "Love Story" Re-Recording

You can hear it in Ryan Reynolds' Match ad.
Last month, Taylor Swift regained the rights to the songs on her first six albums, which meant that she could finally re-record her earlier tracks like she has been planning to do for years.
It all became super complicated when record executive Scooter Braun and his company Ithaca Holdings purchased Swift's old label Big Machine in late June.
Swifties have unsurprisingly been hanging out for new versions of Taylor's old classics. However, considering she only got the rights back last month, no one was expecting to hear any re-recorded tunes for a while.
Except, in an unexpected move, Ryan Reynolds reached out to Taylor and asked her to include a snippet of her re-record of "Love Story" in a commercial that he had written for Maximum Effort and Match—an online dating service.
You only get to hear one and a half minutes of the re-recorded track, but it’s undoubtedly a banger. In fact, it might even be better than the original.
In the ad, Ryan personifies the devil and, uh, 2020 and suggests that they’d make a really good couple.
The video is hilarious, but the internet is way more concerned with the "Love Story" re-record.
While the music sounds very familiar, you can tell the difference between the original bop and the re-record from the slightly heavier instrumental, along with Taylor's more mature vocals.
The singer shared the commercial on Twitter, announcing that her re-records are not ready yet, but she just had to share this one with Ryan.
"Okay so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend @VancityReynolds asked me if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so...here’s a sneak peak of Love Story! Working hard to get the music to you soon!!" Taylor wrote in the tweet.
It was only a week ago that Taylor revealed in an interview with GMA that she had re-recorded "Love Story" and a few other songs.
We don't have a date for the release of Taylor's other re-records yet, but we're certain her fans are hanging out for more.
