Prepare for Young Jack Bauer: Fox Wants to Make a "24" Prequel

They tried a miniseries. They tried a reboot. Now, they want to try a prequel.
Sources have apparently told the Hollywood Reporter that 20th Century Fox wants to bring the iconic action TV drama 24 back to our screens. Again.
The original series wrapped in 2010, but Kiefer Sutherland returned as super agent Jack Bauer in 2014’s limited miniseries, Live Another Day. Fox then rebooted the series in 2017 as 24: Legacy, with Corey Hawkins playing another agent, Eric Carter. However, producers are now looking to create a prequel to the original series, centered around a young Jack.
The show will reportedly tell the "origin story of how Jack Bauer became Jack Bauer", and given the steady string of tragedies that tormented Jack through his adult years, we’re going to assume his early days were similarly devastating, and punctuated by on-the-hour cliffhangers.
Though nothing is yet official, the show’s original creators are working on a script, and should they move quickly enough, it could be ready as a 'midseason' replacement (that’s our summer, in non-American-TV talk).
THR says casting has not yet begun, but why bother when technology can de-age actors?
Let Kiefer live another day!
