Prepare for Chaos: “Dead To Me” Will Return for a Third and Final Season

What will the dysfunctional friends get up to this time?
Netflix has renewed dark comedy Dead To Me for a third season, but creator Liz Feldman has confirmed it will be its last.
Unfortunately, that means you will be saying goodbye to your favourite emotionally dysregulated characters Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy (Linda Cardellini).
It's a harsh reality to face, but we know you can get through this tough time.
On the other hand, Feldman has signed a multi-year deal with Netflix for other original series and projects, which means we can look forward to some more excellent work from her in the future.
Of course, we don't need to start crying ourselves to sleep about the news just yet. We've still got to find out what happens to Jen and Judy after that shocking Season 2 cliffhanger.
*Dead To Me Season 2 spoilers below.*
If you need a quick recap, the S2 finale saw Jen confess to the murder of Judy's ex, Steve (James Marsden). Except, Detective Perez (Diana-Maria Riva) let Jen go after they failed to recover Steve's body from the woods.
Afterwards, Jen and Judy bought Charlie (Sam McCarthy) his own car using the money Judy retrieved from the back of her artwork. On their way home, Steve's twin brother, Ben (who is also played by Marsden), crashed into the pair. It's revealed he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Fortunately, Jen and Judy were still alive. However, before the credits roll, we saw a dog walker potentially discover Steve's remains by the tree that Judy carved a heart into.

While no plot details have been released yet, we can assume that Season 3 will conclude Jen and Judy's story for good.
"From start to finish, Dead To Me is exactly the show I wanted to make," Feldman said in a statement.
"And it's been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I'll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I'm thrilled to continue our collaboration."
At this stage, Netflix hasn't confirmed a release date for S3.
Now, take some time to process those feelings you're experiencing.
