Beloved Ice Cream Makers Peters Have Officially Brought Back the Twin Pole

Right in time for the warmer weather.
Ice cream and icy pole fans rejoice ‘cos Peters Ice Cream have officially announced the return of their iconic Twin Pole ice cream after almost a decade of it being discontinued.
Although the nostalgic frozen dessert is a West Australian home-grown classic, it’s set to be sold in all states around the country, so no one misses out.
Of course, it’s coming back in its OG Pineapple Raspberry flavour, as well as a Vanilla Chocolate flavour and Cookies and Cream flavour in a pack of eight.
If you take a deep dive on Facebook, you’ll come to find that West Aussies have been campaigning for the Twin Pole to make it back to supermarket shelves for ages. It’s a very serious crusade.
There’s even a ‘Bring Back The Twin Pole’ Facebook group as well as an ‘Old Shops Australia’ Facebook group that share updates on beloved or discontinued products.

Members in the Bring Back The Twin Pole Facebook group have shared images of the re-released product, full of excitement for its return.
“Twin Pole was my favourite treat. I would always have one after playing squash and have many happy memories associated with it,” he said.
“I even had Twin Poles at my wedding! I always hoped that Peters would see the group and bring it back, but now it’s a reality I’m blown away by the surprise.”
On top of the ice cream making a comeback, the packaging seems to have had a revamp as well. Although it’s summery as heck, I’ve gotta say the OG packaging still has my heart.

The iconic ice cream is available to purchase from supermarkets Australia-wide right now, but good luck getting your hands on a box ‘cos it looks like they’re just about sold out everywhere.
“I tried to get some and they were all gone,” a member of the Facebook group shared.
Peters Head of Marketing Andrea Hamori explained how the Twin Pole has always had a special place in Peters' history.
"Twin Pole has a special place in our history and we are excited to bring back this iconic treat, alongside two brand new flavours," she said.
