The Next Season of "13 Reasons Why" Will Get a New Narrator and Focus on Jessica and Bryce

Trigger Warning: This article discusses suicide and sexual abuse.
Earlier this week, a second season of Netflix's controversial series 13 Reasons Why was officially announced, and speculation was rife about what these new episodes might contain. Rife!
Showrunner Brian Yorkey had previously said any future eps would still include the late Hannah (Katherine Langford), even though the first season was centred on her suicide.
He's since offered more concrete details about S2 to Entertainment Weekly, saying she will "absolutely" still be involved.
"I think one of the things that is still hanging out there is this question of, 'is someone responsible for Hannah’s death?'" he said.
"Is the school responsible? Who is responsible, if anyone is? One way we’ll explore that question is through the trial and also through all of these kids reflecting on where they are a few months down the road and what other secrets are being uncovered. That’s going to take us into the past, into Hannah’s story."
Nonetheless, Yorkey said a new narrator will be taking over from Hannah in the second season. Plus, instead of using cassette tapes, the narrative will be delivered via a "new piece of technology for 13-year-olds to Google," he joked.
Yorkey also added that the second season will focus more on Jessica (Alisha Boe), Hannah's former friend and (spoiler alert) a rape survivor.
“I want to do Jessica’s story the deserved justice of following her as she goes back to school, as she tries to begin to recover from what happened to her, because it’s something that millions of young women go through,” he said.
He also says he wants to "see somebody punch [Jessica's rapist] Bryce in the face."
The good news is Yorkey is literally the only person in the world with the power to will that into being.
