New Zealand Post Has Started Delivering KFC, Because You Can't Email Fried Chicken

If you’re wondering why New Zealand topped Australia on a list of the world’s happiest countries, here’s your explanation.
The New Zealand postal service has taken a leaf (or should that be wing?) out of Uber’s book and begun delivering Kentucky Fried Chicken in the port city of Tauranga.
Tauranga is the first city to trial NZ Post’s KFC delivery service, though the plan is for their reach to expand if the scheme is a success. How far will they go? To half of New Zealand. Chicken for (almost) everyone!

According to the Guardian, NZ Post has been looking for new revenue streams, following years of heavy losses.
And since people’s desire for fried chicken hasn’t declined in the way that, say, people’s desire to send or receive paper mail has, NZ Post decided to give KFC a call.
There are 30 delivery drivers working the KFC Tauranga route, with many of the new evening shift drivers simply students or retirees using their own transport and smartphones to arrange deliveries.
So, yes, this sounds a lot like other certain food delivery app services… except this one is owned and run by the NZ government.
When will our own leaders listen to the Colonel’s beckoning call? His siren song haunts us.
