Weird New Feud Alert: Dame Edna Everage And The Entire Panel Of “The Project”

There was no way to anticipate this.

Dame Edna Everage popped on Channel Ten’s The Project last night, to promote… something. (Well, it’s a Mother’s Day collaboration with Peter Alexander, but that’s not really what we’re here for.)

In her short segment, the ageless Dame Edna (of course, actually 82-year-old comedian Barry Humphries) seemingly veered off course to quiz Carrie Bickmore about stretch-marks, ask where Fitzy would be without Big Brother, and call Waleed Aly an “old pinko”.

So, okay!

Obviously it was all meant in jest – "veering off course" into light-prodding has been Dame Edna's shtick for decades – but no doubt viewers were at least a little rankled when Aly was asked if he “believed” in making bed fun. Twitter suggests, definitely.

But not all were Team Waleed.

Passive-aggressive or totally planned, this remains the only 2016 feud we care about now. Sorry, B.o.B. and Neil deGrasse Tyson!
