2016 Feud Watch: Kanye, Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B. And Neil DeGrasse Tyson Have Bad Blood

Apologies to Taylor, Nicky, Katy and Miley: 2016 is already looking like it’ll top 2015 in the pop “beef” stakes.
First, we had B.o.B.’s seriously unexpected feud with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, over, of all things, the shape of the Earth. (In short, B.o.B. thinks the planet is flat, whereas Tyson thinks B.o.B. should stick to singing terrible R&B.) It has resulted in dueling diss traps from B.o.B. and Tyson’s nephew. And yet, this is only the second best feud of 2016 (which, you should remember, is so far only 28 days old). The title of the year’s best beef belongs to Kanye West and Oscar-snubbee Wiz Khalifa. It’s hugely complicated, but here’s all you need to know: Kanye West revealed on Twitter recently that he’s renaming his album Swish (formerly So Help Me God) to Waves. This is not album of the year. This is album of the life.

Khalifa took issue with the rechristening, noting that their peer Max B was indeed the “wavy” one.
Then, unwittingly (?) Khalifa tweeted the initials ‘KK’, supposedly referring to a certain brand of "medicine" he enjoys. Kanye, however, considered this a reference to his wife, Kim Kardashian.
What followed was a sequence of incredible tweets in which Kanye chastised Wiz, accusing him of ripping off Kid Cudi while also dragging Amber Rose (ex to both of them) into the muck. He did, however, compliment Khalifa on his choice of pants, and the fact he is "skinny and tall".
After being informed of what 'KK' actually meant, Kanye's rage subsided and he took down the Tweets.
Man it’s a sad a day… Wiz lost 2 million followers since I tweeted I didn’t mean to either him like that.

But the Internet never forgets. You can still find them all here. (Serious coarse language warning.)
Choice quote: "I am your OG and I will be respected as such." Update your hashtags accordingly.
Anyway... Kanye’s new album, Waves (yes, he’s sticking with the title) will be debuted at a live performance at Madison Square Garden, set to be shared via satellite to cinemas around the globe. Australians, you better hope you can get to Hoyts Melbourne Central and Village Jam Factory in Victoria, or Hoyts Broadway, Event Parramatta and Event George Street in NSW by 8am on February 12, 2016.
