Kim K Snaps Back At Taylor Swift For Playing "The Victim"; Tay Just Wants Kimye To "Leave Her Alone

Kim K has that hot, hot fi-yah you ordered.

Not one day after Taylor Swift was snapped pashing off with Tom Hiddleston (to the delight of the entire internet), Tay-Tay is now facing criticism from Kim Kardashian for playing "the victim" in her feud with Kim's hubby Kanye West.

You may recall that the long-held peace between Swift and one-time interrupter West was rocked with the release of his new album, The Life of Pablo, in February.

On the record's standout track "Famous", West made reference to their infamous encounter with the lyric: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b**** famous".

Okay, so the line looks pretty bad in writing, but West insists it's a joke - one, in fact, that Swift signed-off on.

However, when she accepted her Album of the Year Grammy soon afterwards, Swift seem to throw some shade in her frenemy's direction: "I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments and your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there."

Enter Kim.

In a new GQ cover story, she reiterates that Swift not only approved the line, but that Kanye has footage of the approval, from a documentary crew following him around during the making of Pablo.

“She totally approved that... She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much s*** for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”

“What rapper would call a girl that he was rapping a line about to get approval?” she added.

There's more.

“It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I'm so against this, and I'll just laugh and say, ‘The joke's on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.’ And I'm like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again.”

Swift, Kim says, reacted to news that the chat had been recorded by siccing her lawyers on West:

"And then they sent an attorney's letter like, ‘Don't you dare do anything with that footage,’ and asking us to destroy it... When you shoot something, you don't stop every two seconds and be like, ‘Oh wait, we're shooting this for my documentary.’ You just film everything, and whatever makes the edit, then you see, then you send out releases. It's like what we do for our show.”

If you thought Swift would let sleeping dogs lie following the release of Kim's cover story, boy, do you not know Swift.

Her reps responded to the comments with the following statement:

"Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognises the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West," it begins.

"However, that does not change the fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect. Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never spoken since. Taylor has never denied that conversation took place.

"It was on that phone call that Kanye West also asked her to release the song on her Twitter account, which she declined to do. Kanye West never told Taylor he was going to use the term 'that b****' in referencing her. A song cannot be approved if it was never heard. Kanye West never played the song for Taylor Swift.

"Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated. Kim Kardashian's claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone."

The ball is now back in Kimye's court. Who's telling the truth in this Rashomon-esque feud? We may never truly know. Only this remains an indisputable fact: "Famous" is a banger. A problematic banger, but a banger nonetheless.
