Taylor Claps Back At Kim And Kanye For Leaked Video And “Character Assassination”

Kim Kardashian went nuclear on Taylor Swift today, posting video showing Swift signing off (kinda) on Kanye West’s controversial “Famous”.

(We don’t really want to get into it all over again, but you can read – and see – everything you need here.)

Anyhoo, it took about an hour for Swift to take her bubbling rage to Instagram, where she posted a lengthy note (quite literally; it was from her iPhone’s ‘Notes’) asking to be “excluded from this narrative”.

“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she adds.

That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.

Though Kim’s footage of Swift was indeed damning (well, in this extremely low-stakes universe of pop beefs, anyway), it’s true that we never see Kanye recite to her the specific “I made that b**** famous” line upon which this whole controversy rests.

But still, it’s hard to ignore the optics of a contrite and polite Kanye coming to Taylor and saying "all I give a f*** about is you as a person and as a friend.”

In the public eye (where Tay has already been chalked with an 'L'), it’ll be hard for her to regain the upper hand in this feud.

Either way, all parties are seemingly embracing the ‘mutually-assured destruction’ route, so it truly is time to pick your side (before the inevitable cash-in collaboration).

Silver lining:

(What of the innocent Tom Hiddleston? Has anyone checked in on him? Is he okay?!)
